How Viral Scout works
Viral Scout watches product pages that sell what you sell, keeps the videos that beat their usual views, scores each one for how well a new version would grow your page, and gives you three concrete ways to make it.
How your feed is built
- Your niche. When you add a product, Claude places it in a niche (for example "budgeting apps") with search phrases and known brands. Products in the same niche share pages and videos, so your feed is often ready in minutes.
- Product pages only. We search TikTok and Instagram for pages, then keep only real product pages: brands, apps, shops and services. Creators, meme pages and agencies are left out.
- Breakouts. We read each page's recent videos and keep the ones that did at least twice that page's usual views, plus each page's top two. A huge multiple on a tiny audience counts less.
- The remake score. 35% does the idea transfer to your product, 25% is it easy to make with a phone and AI tools, 25% how big the breakout was, 15% does the format suit your kind of product. Pages far bigger than yours count less once we know your usual views.
- It learns. Thumbs up and down change what you see. Once three of your remakes have views, formats that worked for you rise.
- Nothing is copied. Videos play from TikTok and Instagram directly. We store links and our notes, never the videos.
Three ways to remake a video
- Closest to the original: the same structure with your product and buyer, the lowest risk.
- Bold twist: a real creative swing (a new setting, tone or twist) that keeps what made the hook work.
- Fastest to make: always free; filmed on your phone, recorded from your screen, or text over footage.
- Each plan says what it keeps, what it changes and why, the beats, the time and cost, and any risks. Remakes you film get a shot list you can copy and tick off.
Get a Higgsfield API key
- Sign in at console.higgsfield.ai and add credit (pay as you go).
- Create an API key. You get a key ID and a secret. Paste them as
KEY_ID:KEY_SECRETin Settings. - We check the key with a free price estimate before saving it, then store it encrypted.
What things cost (on your key)
- Character options: about 1 cent each (4 per character).
- Character sheet and each storyboard still: about 3 to 5 cents.
- Motion: about 5 to 8 cents per second on Wan 3.0 or Kling 3.0 Turbo, about 8 cents on Kling 3.0, about 21 cents on Seedance 2.5.
- A typical 12-second remake: 3 stills plus one 4-second hero clip is about $0.35. Every beat animated on Kling is about $1.20.
- The app always shows a live estimate from Higgsfield before you spend, and your monthly cap is enforced.
Ten ways to spend less
- Storyboard first. Approve cheap stills before anything moves; never pay for motion on a bad frame.
- Post the motion comic. Stills with a slow push-in and captions, assembled free in your browser, often perform close to full video for talking and reaction formats.
- Animate only the key beat (the product or punchline) with the "Animate the key beat" option.
- Short clips stretch. A 3-second clip is slowed to fill a 4-second beat in the editor, instead of paying for a longer one.
- Sound off. Generate silent clips and add a Commercial Music Library track in the app.
- Cheapest model that works: Wan 3.0 for reactions and simple moves, Kling for faces in motion, Seedance only for hero shots.
- Never redraw the logo. Your product photo is placed as a sticker and on the end card, pixel-exact and free.
- Reuse. Approved stills and clips stay in your Library; reuse reaction shots and sets instead of regenerating.
- Redo one beat, not the whole video, with a short tweak.
- Earn your motion: post the stills version of a new format first; only animate formats that get traction on your account.
Posting rules that keep your account safe
- Turn on the platform's AI-generated content label.
- TikTok: when the product is visible, turn on Content disclosure, then Your brand.
- Business accounts can only use the Commercial Music Library. Do not add popular songs.
- Several handles are fine if each bio says it is your brand's account. Look-alike accounts that hide who runs them get banned.
- Song-style videos are original songs in a genre, never new lyrics over an existing song.
Optional keys
Gemini and Apify keys are optional. Shared scans and analysis (Claude) run on the platform. Add your own Apify token for unlimited custom hashtag scans, or your own Gemini key if you want your own analysis quota.
Custom scans
With your Apify token, a custom scan of a few hashtags costs about $0.10 to $0.30 on your Apify account and takes 2 to 6 minutes.
Brand voice (ElevenLabs)
The brand voice reads your new lines and makes fresh sound effects, on your own ElevenLabs account. Sign in at elevenlabs.io, open your profile, then API keys, and create a key with access to Text to Speech, Sound Effects, Voices and Voice Generation. Paste it in Settings.
Costs on your account: about 8 cents per 1,000 characters of speech (a 20-second voiceover is about 2 to 3 cents) and about 12 cents per minute of effects. Settings has a separate monthly voice cap. The free ElevenLabs plan is for non-commercial use only, so pick a paid plan (Starter is $6 a month) before you post.
We never copy a creator's voice: only the premade voices, voices you design from a description, and your own verified voice can be a brand voice.
